Asia Cup 2022 Schedule
Asia Cup 2022 is the 15th edition of the Asia Cup tournament and is played as twenty-two international. The Asia Cup is expected to be scheduled for September 2020 but has been postponed to June 2021 due to COVID-19. It was then rescheduled for Sri Lanka in June 2021 before being rescheduled.
Pakistan is scheduled to host the tournament later rather than reserve the right to host the 2022 program. Asia Cup 2022 is the fifteenth edition of the tournament and this year's format is T20 as the Asia Cup games will take part as Twenty20 Internationals (T20I).
Asia Cup 2022 to begin in June or July 2022 in Sri Lanka
The next program will be in the format of 20 overs, with the mind set for the 2020 T20 World Cup. The 2023 Asia Cup will be in the form of 50 overs over the ODI World Cup in the same year. Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled to be the 15th edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament and games played as Twenty20 Internationals in Sri Lanka.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Board of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), chaired by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, held in Dubai on Thursday. The next program will be in the format of 20 overs, with the mindset of the T20 World Cup in 2022 and the 2023 Asia Cup will be based on the format of the 50 overs over the ODI World Cup in the same year.
